The Heritage Research Troopers Vest is inspired by a utility vest worn by the Berdans Sharpshooter Battalion during the American Civil War. Considered to be an elite unit, their uniform differed from regular soldiers and included a western style hat, an overshirt with shooting patch and a belt worn over the shoulder.
