Best American Duffels (BAD) have been making bags in Seattle USA for more than a decade. They are a small , specialist maker but we like what they do. We are their exclusive, chosen stockist in the UK.

The #1.5 SP Duffel is a versatile bag in a compact size. Inside the main compartment is an added drawstring pocket for shoes or other items. On the outside of the bag, on both sides are external pockets with two way zips. All zips can be locked with optional padlocks.We also have this bag in a version that can also be worn as a backpack.

Every BAD Bag has the following features:

  • Rugged but soft 1,000-denier CORDURA® nylon fabric, urethane-coated for water resistance
  • Double-stitching at crucial wear points
  • Nickel-plated, welded, no-rust hardware
  • Two-inch, 6,000-pound break-strength seat-belt webbing encircling each bag to ensure longevity, strength, and uniform weight distribution
  • Cross-stitched and box-stitched handles
  • A wide, soft leather grip with a snap closure pulls the two main handles together
  • Wide shoulder strap with shoulder pad
  • Grab handles at each end
  • Sewn-on ID holder section
  • Beefy #10 YKK zippers: rugged enough to hold even overstuffed loads.
  • All zips can be overlapped and locked with your own optional padlocks


    • BAD bags were used in the International Trans-Antarctica Expedition, the first-ever non-motorized crossing of the Antarctic. A team of six men travelled by ski and husky/sled across 4,000 miles for 220 days in 100mph winds , enduring a wind chill factor of -150 degrees. The BAD bag range still carries the international badge from this epic expedition.

    All BAD BAGS products are guaranteed for life against defects in materials and workmanship. .Should a product fail due to a manufacturing defect it will be repaired or replaced. BAD bags are designed to be machine and hand washable, care instructions inside each bag.
